Oh, Yokiro, cursed with the fate of being a painfully average middle-child.

Now is Tatsuma asking an innocent question or rubbing salt where she senses insecurities?

Dang it, Ginari! Stop blaming the flower girls! What'd they do to you that you didn't cause yourself?

And poor Yoriko...Of course Tatsuma would make commentary about his family life tellings.

They're existing and that makes her life harder. How dastardly of them!

I hope things turn out OK for Yokiro! He's been through a lot so far, and he's taken everything pretty well.

Hmmm... What a commitment, to share these characters that you have held on to for so long. I wouldn't doubt that these characters have changed as you have matured, but showing them to the masses like this will make them concrete, less flexible, and less able to relate to as you move on from the present.

(Don't expect me to always be this deep, I just had that occasional deep thought)

Interesting! Strangely enough, my characters haven't actually changed much since the first 2 years they were created. At least, it wasn't changing them as much as it was adding more onto the same "base".
For example: The way they are as teens is consistent, and when I'm no longer a teen, I can still remember what life was like as a teen. When they settle down as adults, I can add those dimensions to them of how they adjust to adult life using personal experiences and observations. The characters themselves don't change (outside of their in-story development). Our perspective of them does. That's been my experience. The older I get, the more Tatsuma starts to remind me of a bratty little sister. :'D She used to be older than me, man.
The REAL scary part is setting the plot in concrete! I won't be able to go back and change it if I screw up!
I like your deep thoughts.

This is certainly a much more detailed response than what I expected, and I am not quite sure how to reply to it other than :)
