Lucky, huh?

Yeah, if you think being attacked by dragons that turn into lizards, crazy ladies, and being basically an outcast from humans due to being plant people is lucky...

Yeah...

Amongst all that craziness, they found a dollar on the ground, once. Really lucky! ;P

How does this kid know whether or not they're lucky? He just met them. And I don't think being born/birth can apply to plants, they just grow,

Ah yes, the miracle of life. The majestic plant-birth.
It is safe to say, some assumptions were made, here. He might be just a liiiittle bitter.

He's pretty tough! That being said, I was wondering if he was just being opportunistic when he stole that bracelet, but it seems like he's been through this sort of thing before... (It's no wonder that he was a little skittish. :/)

Tatsuma's reaction is so great, that might be the first time she's been genuinely at a loss for words about something I think? Maybe she has some opinions about self-righteous busybodies in human society too? (*´w`)

Ha! If she had some loss-for-words moments before, they weren't quite this palpable. She's still processing this kid's audacity!

I have absolutely no idea what this kid could be referring to, lol. Not like any of these guys have money. Is his goal in life to have purple hair or something?
NiaNook 18th October 2018 edit delete reply
NiaNook
He's very sensitive about his boring natural hair-color!

Is he really forced to steal tho? I'm not really a fan of that mentality: Oh no! Something unfortunate happened! I guess that my only option is to do crimes! Oh, and yeah, these are completely justified because of previously stated unfortunate thing, and there's definitely no way I can ever do anything else because now I am condemned to this unfortunate life. It's not my fault if all the things I did come and bite me in the back! I had no choice!
NiaNook 18th October 2018 edit delete reply
NiaNook
Haha, sounds kinda fishy, huh? Sadly, the mentality exists. Think of how many people take on unhealthy habits to cope with pain. And someone feeling trapped, like their only option is to turn to crime because the other options seem too difficult or unreachable. Or even being angry at the world because of your pain, and taking advantage of others, because in your mind, the world owes you.

Well this kid sure sees the world as black and white,as if everyone and everything in the world is out to get him and he's the only one suffering... otherwise why would he lash out at our lovely plants...

Time to pat him down for any other valuables he's stolen, take them, and move on. >_> XD

Pfahaha, good idea, who knows what else that guy has stored away!

Prooooobably because I myself recently lost something of personal value to theft, I have zero sympathy for this guy. Sometimes things are valuable because of inherent monetary worth, and sometimes it's of value only because its a keepsake. But sometimes, those lines cross and it's both monetarily and emotionally valuable.... Stealing from someone aimlessly just to satisfy yourself or some sort of "master" is not respectable.

Anyway, hope he gets another beating. >:(

Aw man. That really sucks and I'm sorry you had something stolen from you :( I think I can sympathize with your feelings here. The mindset of feeling entitled to someone else's property with no care for their loss is baffling and makes me feel very bitter, so in a way, I kind of consider this character an attempt at understanding the mindset and making peace with it? IDK, hopefully you find that object, or at least don't lose anymore!

Being able to write a character you totally disagree with just makes us better at writing! I try to do that all the time and I think it does create some understanding, but sometimes in the end it's a "agree to disagree" XD

Pfft-, yeah, understanding does not equal agreeing with :'D
